Rooms
Mater Dei offers single rooms with a sofa-bed for one guest, and suites with private sitting-rooms.
All rooms are provided with:
Meals
breakfast: 08.00 – 08.30
lunch: 12.00
afternoon snack: 16.00 – 16.30
supper: 18.30
If a guest wishes to eat with the patient he/she must inform the ward staff, before 10.00 a.m.
Visitors
Visiting hours are free. To ensure peace and quiet for our patients, we advise you to restrict family and friends’ visits during resting hours.
Hairdresser – Barber
If you wish to make use of the hairdresser, barber, manicure, pedicure service please contact the appointed staff.
Bar
There is a bar in the hall with the following opening hours:
from Monday to Friday 08.00–20.00;
Saturday and Sunday 08.00–13.00.
If you wish to use room-service please contact the ward staff.
Safety services
On-call Doctor Specialist
To ensure our patients’ safety, there is always an on-call doctor inside the structure, in addition to an on-call service for laboratory, radiology and operating theater staff.
Life-Saver Cart
All our wards have a resuscitation trolley, an orange-colored, mobile, emergency cart, equipped with defibrillator, oxygen, probes and all the drugs needed to cope promptly with urgent, emergency situations.
Procedures in case of fire
Our staff has been suitably trained to intervene in case of fire. Inside every room there are accident prevention and anti-fire instructions in case of need. We kindly request you read them.
Emergency management: code 444
Code 444 is an acoustic alarm operating in the structures for the timely management of health emergencies and covers every area, from hospital rooms to clinics, from the halls to administrative offices. Once the signal has been activated, in a very short time, the health personnel intervene with specific training, equipped with a lifesaving trolley, for resuscitation of the patient.
